True soldier

He laid in bed
old and weak
he fought the good fight
but it ends in defeat

Three years with cancer
and it was finally gone
But his old fragile body
won't last very long

He outlived his wife
his sons were at war
his brother also sick
and his body very sore

But through the problems
his mind stayed young and free
he always knew what he liked
and held tight to what he beleieved

When his eyes slowly closed
for the final time
he tightened his old fist
and he started to smile

And he said, " I'm a true soldier,
and i've happily served my time
we may go M.I.A,
but we don't ever die!"
